Exam Pattern
SSC JE Exam Pattern 2023
SSC JE Exam Pattern consists of two phases (Paper I and Paper II). Paper I examination will be an objective-type CBT (Computer Based Test) consisting of 200 marks and Paper II will have descriptive type questions of 300 marks. In Paper I, there would be a negative marking of 0.25 marks which will be deducted for every wrong question attempted by the candidate.

How To Apply
SSC JE Apply Online 2023
For filling the online application form of SSC JE 2022, just follow the below mentioned steps:
a. After the release of Notification, Open the "Apply Online" link from the SSC official website & click on the available link to apply online for SSC JE 2023.
b. The registration link will automatically open in a new window of your computer.
c. Now click the "New Registration" option in SSC JE 2023 application window and then click on "Register" button.
d. Then provide all the basic details like your name, parents’ name, date of birth, mobile number, email id, etc. as per the requirement & finally click on submit button to submit your online application form.
e. Now candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the guidelines laid down by SSC.
f. Then again Login with registered ID and password & fill the leftover part of the application form.
g. After that click on the Final Submit button to complete the process of online application form and download/take printout of the submitted application form.

Candidates should try to look straight while taking their pictures. Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Signature |

Other Documents (if needed) |
The resolution of the scanner should be at least 200 DPI. True colour should be used. Crop the uploaded documents wherever necessary. Candidates should format the documents in an appropriate size. MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager can be used for doing the formatting of the documents. All the images should be in JPG or JPEG format.
Candidates should be using the proper field to upload all their required documents. |

SSC JE Previous Year Cut Offs:
Cut-off is that minimum score which a candidate needs to acquire to proceed to the next stage of the selection process. The Cut-Off score for SSC JE 2022 shall be declared once the results of every phase are declared by SSC.

Salary & Job Profile
SSC JE Salary 2022
The remunerations of SSC JE shall be paid as per the 7th Pay Commission. The pay band of the SSC JE falls under Level-6 of the pay matrix i.e, Rs.35400-112400/-. Hence, Salary of SSC JE shall be approximately Rs. 44,000 (Incl. of all allowances) per month.

SSC JE Job Profile 2022
The Junior Engineers will be posted under Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts. The roles and responsibilities of a Junior Engineer include:
• A JE is responsible for looking after the stocks and passing the bills to the contractor.
• The Junior Engineer could be assigned under various sections where he would be required to oversee the designated section.
• He could be posted under various government projects, where he would be responsible for executing the schemes according to the requirement.
• The junior engineers are responsible for supervising the operations thereby learning the core functions of the organization.
SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2022
Nationality
Candidates applying for SSC JE posts must be either:
A Citizen of India, or
A Subject of Nepal, or
A Subject of Bhutan,or
A Tibetan refugee who took asylum in India before January 1, 1962. Person with Indian origin who has transferred from one of the following countries: Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, etc. provided that the candidate has to produce a certificate of eligibility at the time of appointment.
