NIACL (The New India Assurance Company Ltd.,) which is a Public Sector General Insurance Company has recently released a notification for the recruitment of 300 Officers (Generalists) in Scale I cadre. Interested candidates can apply online from Sep 01, 2021 onwards. The last date for online form submission is Sep 21, 2021.

Exam Pattern
NIACL AO Exam Pattern 2023
The NIACL AO exam 2023 shall be conducted in three phases as explained below:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
The Prelims Exam consists of Objective Sections having a total of 100 marks which needs to be completed in a composite time of 60 minutes.

Note:
Applicants need to qualify each section separately by obtaining a min cut off marks as decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category (approx. 15 times the no. of vacancies) would be shortlisted for the Mains Examination of Phase II recruitment.
Phase II: Mains Examination
Mains Exam will be having an Objective Test consisting of 200 marks and a Descriptive Test for 30 marks as tabulated below:

b) Descriptive Test
The Descriptive Test shall be of 30 min duration having a total of 30 marks. This test will have a Test of "English Language" consisting of "Letter Writing" having 10 marks & Essay writing having 20 marks. It is to be noted that the descriptive test will be entirely in English language and will be conducted via online mode only.
Note:
1. A minimum score shall be needed to be scored by the candidate for each section of objective test separately for being shortlisted for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview round.
2. The candidate need to qualify the descriptive test, however the marks obtained in the descriptive test will not be counted for short listing candidates for interview /final selection.
Phase III: Interview
Candidates shortlisted after the completion of Phase-II recruitment process shall be called for an Interview round which will be conducted by NIACL officials. The weightage of the online Examination and Interview round will be 75:25 respectively.

How To Apply
NIACL AO Apply Online 2023
Step 1:On the official website of NIACL, http://newindia.co.in, click on the recruitment section and then click on "APPLY ONLINE" tab.
Step 2:Now click tab named "Click here for New Registration" button and enter your details such as name, contact no., e-mail address etc.
Step 3:You will then receive a provisional registration number along with password.
Step 4:Re-login with these credentials & provide all the remaining details and then click on "Save and Next" button.
Step 5:Check your details carefully and then press the 'Final Submit' button.
Step 6:After that scan and upload your photograph along with signature as per the required specifications.
Step 7:Finally, click on the payment tab and complete the online payment as per the available methods.
Step 8:Take the print out of the completely filled NIACL AO application form 2023 along with the payment receipt for future reference.

Salary & Job Profile:
NIACL AO Salary 2023
Selected candidates for the post of NIACL AO 2023 shall be eligible for a basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- on a scale of Rs. 50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765/-
Along with the basic pay, candidates will be getting allowances such as Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance, etc. thereby making the total emoluments of Rs 60,000/- per month (approx.)
NIACL AO Job Profile 2023
The selected candidates will have to undergo a probation period for one year from the joining date. Also, the candidates will be required to submit a bond for a minimum period of 4 years (including probation period).
The tasks that an NIACL AO is required to perform are explained below:
o A NIACL AO is required to perform administrative and authoritative tasks.
o NIACL AO is also responsible for reviewing Insurance Policies, Settling Insurance Claims, Checking Clauses, Verifying risk proposals etc.
Eligibility Criteria

Nationality
The candidate applying for NIACL AO must be:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) an Indian origin person who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam having intention of permanently settling in India, provided the candidate belongs to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour an eligibility certificate has been issued by Indian Government

The candidate applying for the post of NIACL AO must lie under the age group of 21 years to 30 years (for the Unreserved category).

NIACL AO Education Qualification 2023:
Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized university. The candidate must also possess certificate for proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 30.09.2021.
