SSC STENOGRAPHER 2018

The full form of ‘SSC’ is Staff Selection Commission. Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts the SSC Stenographer Exam every year. The exam takes place in 2 Tiers. Once you qualify the exam, you are hired under Grade ‘C’ or Grade ‘D’ posts. This year, the vacancies have not been disclosed yet.

Staff Selection Commission recruits Stenographers in various offices under Government of India. Furthermore, these posts are two Grades – C and D. Even if the salary of SSC Stenographers varies according to the grade, they have a good salary structure. Due to being a government job, SSC Stenographers have a stable pay with a possibility of increase.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SSC STENOGRAPHER 2018

The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria of SSC STENOGRAPHER Recruitment 2018 for the post of probationary officers. The candidates who applied for the SBI probationary officers post should be a citizen of India. Check out more details about the eligibility criteria below.

Educational Qualification: (AS ON 01.01.2018) 

 Candidates must have passed the Class 12 from a recognised Board or University.

Age Limit (As on 01.04.2018)

The candidate’s age should not be below 18 and not more than 27 years as on 01. 04. 2018 which means he/she must not be born before 01.04.1997 and not after 02.04.1988 . Check out the age relaxation for various categories in the table below.

SSC has released the vacancies for SSC Stenographer Grade C and D. The total vacancies (tentative) for Stenographer Grade C is 429 & Grade D is 1276.

SSC Stenographer 2018 Exam Pattern:

There will be 2 stages of the exam in SSC stenographer 2017 –  Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill Test. There will be no interview.

  • The CBT will consist of MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) & take place in online mode.

  • The Questions will be bilingual (i.e. English and Hindi) except for the English Language Subject.

How to apply for SSC STENOGRAPHER 2018

  • Candidates will be required to register themselves online through SSC official website. http://ssc.nic.in/ - Recruitment of SSC Stenographer.
  • Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no.which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advices etc. by email/SMS.
  • Submit the Application Form.
  • The payment can be made by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
  • On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated; which may be printed for record.
  • Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

The Admit Cards for SSC Stenographer Exams are released just a couple of weeks before the SSC Stenographer Exam. At the same time, you can find your SSC Stenographer 2017 Admit Card on Official Website of SSC as soon as SSC releases them for various exams.

How to Download Admit Card

  • Go to http://ssc.nic.in/ and click on careers section.
  • Select download SSC Stenographer 2018 call letter for preliminary examination
  • Then enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password
  • Finally click on the submit button, your SSC Stenographer 2018 admit card will be generated and take a print.
  • The SSC Stenographer 2018 admit card is issued and available 10 days prior to the examination. It will be available in the official website of the bank. Candidates are required to download the admit card and get a printed copy of the same.
