Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. This post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. The full form of ‘SSC CHSL’’ exam is ‘Staff Selection Commission Combined High School Level (10+ 2)’ exam. SSC conducts a common SSC CHSL Exam every year to recruit for various posts like:-Postal Assistants,Sorting Assistants D,Data Entry Operators ,Lower Divisional Clerks, Court Clerk.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SSC CHSL 2018

The educational qualifications, age limit, and nationality of the candidates are considered in the eligibility criteria of SSC CHSL Recruitment 2018 for the post of probationary officers. Educational Qualification: (AS ON 01.08.2018) 

The minimum qualification required to apply for SSC CHSL Recruitment is an Intermediate Degree.

Age Limit (As on 01.08.2018)

The candidate’s age should not be below 18 and not more than 27 years as on 01. 08. 2018 which means he/she must not be born before 01.04.1997 and not after 02.04.1988 . Check out the age relaxation for various categories in the table below.

SSC CHSL 2018 Exam Pattern:

The examination will consist of three Tiers of exams:

  • Computer-based Written Examination (Tier -I)

  • Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and

  • Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Division Clerk and Court Clerk

​​Apart from the Prelims, the Tier II will be a descriptive paper 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20minutes extra will be provided for candidates with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with a deformity in writing hand). This paper has been introduced to assess your writing skills. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.

  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent.

  • The performance in Tier II would be included in preparing merit.

  • You have to write the paper either in Hindi or in English. The part paper written in Hindi and Part of English will not be evaluated.

The Tier III of SSC CHSL will be a Skill Test Skill Test/Typing Test which would be of a qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II. ​

How to apply for SSC CHSL 2018

  • Candidates will be required to register themselves online through SSC official website.http://ssc.nic.in/ - Recruitment of SSC CHSL.
  • Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no.which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advices etc. by email/SMS.
  • Submit the Application Form.
  • The payment can be made by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
  • On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated; which may be printed for record.
  • Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

Admit Card for For SSC CHSL 2018

SSC CHSL preliminary examination is scheduled to be held tentatively in the month of July 2018.According to the notification examination call letter can be downloaded tentatively from June 18, 2018.Similarly, the date for download of call letter for SSC CHSL mains examination is tentatively from 20th July 2018. The SSC CHSL mains exam will be tentatively held on 04-August-2018.

How to Download Admit Card

  • Go to http://ssc.nic.in/ and click on careers section.
  • Select download SSC CHSL 2018 call letter for preliminary examination
  • Then enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password
  • Finally click on the submit button, your SSC CHSL 2018 will generated and take a print.
  • The SSC CHSL 2018 admit card is issued and available 10 days prior to the examination. It will be available in the official website of the bank. Candidates are required to download the admit card and get a printed copy of the same.
